I went to the doctor’s today for the 28 1/2 week check-up. Had blood taken, was given a shot of rhogam, and took the gestational diabetes test which included drinking an awful, flat, supersweet limeish liquid that was probably the Christian version of Sprite or something, and then had my fingers stuck five times because the nurse was afraid the reader wasn’t working.

Also had a surprise ultrasound, which, although appreciated, was something of a disappointment in that N. wasn’t there, although I’m not sure how it would have been possible for him to be there, what with the appointment taking about two and a half hours. The baby is measuring in at the right size, which was a relief as he was measuring a bit large at the last ultrasound and his father is 6′5. Didn’t get a good shot of the baby’s face as the little trickster used an open hand to conceal the particulars of his visage. Have some still shots, will have to post them. Darling little hands.

I got a Sprite at Burger King today and it’s really strange in a way to see Leia and goofy Luke Skywalker at the end of a line up of Episode I-III characters on a paper cup.

Time to make my mother’s white chicken chili.

Does anyone know of any stores that have Wonderoos in stock?

Bought a Moses basket on eBay yesterday; pretty excited. Now if I can only find a reasonably priced pram…
