Although, I may not cover quite so many events with quite as much style as my colleagues at DestinNights.com, I have added a Current Events category that will provide the local with a few ways to spend his hard-earned cash. So, Bob Marley, Hansel, and Iron Chef… carry us on into the night.

Sarah and I stopped by the local Rotary Club’s Oktoberfest briefly before we went to my parents’ house for supper. It’s little more than driftwood paintings, bead jewelry, and funnel cakes in a hot Winn-Dixie parking lot, but the beer at the Bitburger Pub is always refreshing. So, when late September rolls around next year, but you really want to start celebrating October, komm nach Niceville und hab un bier mit uns.

All you people (Emeth, The Dane, Rick, Moriah, who else?) hooked on LibraryThing.com amaze me. Sounds really neat and horribly fascinating, and all, but how in the world do you have time to catalogue all the books you own? We can hardly find places to set them (Nathanael has been in the back yard right all afternoon buildinig bookshelves) let alone go through each one and copy out all the identifying information.
