Does anyone know of any toddler car seats (Evelyn has outgrown her infant seat) that are still able to comfortably fit into a small sedan (old four door Accord) in the rear-facing position? We have a Cosco Tourniva that is too large to sit rear-facing and to give us enough room to drive. Evelyn does meet the weight requirement on the forward-facing position, but is quite a bit young to safely ride that way.

Babies R Us will let you try them out in your car. As they get older, they also don’t need the angle on the rf as much (they can sit more upright) so try installing it 15-30 degrees more that way to see if it helps. RF is so much safer, I am glad you are willing to make an effort to make it work!

I don’t know if we can change the degrees too much before she starts hanging in the harness, because our back seat is already pretty steep - but we’ll try it.

I don’t know anything about car seats, but you do have the same car that I do. Ah, good old … old cars.
