Nathanael & Sarah, Do you feel such a certainty of its “truth” that you would continue to perpetuate it across the www via your blog? Did Dan Rather do his homework any less than you have done yours? I don’t mean to be so harsh, but I do believe you are not being fair, with limited knowledge and investigative work. With Love, Dad J

Dad, Point taken about respecting kings. I am cynical to a fault about our government. Now, I hope it doesn’t seem like I enjoy taking potshots at President Bush, because I don’t. I do feel that many Christians have given him a pass because he is a brother, and because of that I tend to be critical when I speak of him. The intention there is to be sure that he’s held accountable by Christian voters, not to denigrate him. I confess that I am often disrespectful, so I apologize for that and will change the title of the post. The New York Times has been sheepish in critiquing the President compared to other major world newspapers, so the attention paid there is a statement in itself. Anyway, what blasphemies? His dispensationalist views? Or comments that are heretical (and dangerously so) — comments that reveal his view of human nature? Our nations share an urgent mission, which is to stop and defeat terrorism wherever it may exist. That mission is not directed against those who practice Islam. That mission is directed against evil people.” and 10/29: “We’re not fighting a nation; we’re not fighting a religion; we’re fighting evil.” Whereas Christianity does hold to a dichotomy — only God is good. -Brent

By blasphemies, I mean heretical and false statements about God - saying that Christians, Jews, and Muslims hold in common the fact that they worship God. Oh, ok. That works, too. Nathanael, If we don’t treat others (and other countries) with care and respect, we likely won’t have the opportunity to convey the “Good News” of Christ and His redemptive work either. I do believe that Christ’s mandate was to win others to Him by the love & truth we share… vs. governmental policy, actions & statements. With much Love, respect & admiration, Dad J

Blaspheming God by saying that He and Allah are one and the same and that many religions lead to heaven is not sharing the love and truth of Christ. It is spewing a damnable lie.

Sarah, Would you prefer our President to say that all unbelievers are to be damned? Only HE, has the power to make, or call that which is “damnable”! With Love, Is “W” to be damned? Dad J

Does this article http://washingtontimes.com/national/pruden.htm say somewhat of the same thing you meant Nathanael? Post a comment
