Wrote a paper on this painting while in college for a medieval art history course. Found Mary’s face to be absolutely mesmorising.

Evelyn was going to say goodmorning to her Grandmother Jones on the phone this morning before she left for work, but instead was far more content to bat at the phone and try and push buttons than to say hello. After I hung up I put Evelyn down on our bed to have a bottle and she immediately flipped to her stomach and beelined to the cordless, grabbed it, and desperately, frantically said hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi! It was pretty entertaining. I called her grandmother back so Evelyn could say hi, but she relapsed and only wanted to push buttons again.
