So, twice during the last month, I ordered a single item from a company and then received the item in duplicate. The first was a set of pans from Linens ‘n’ Things, which arrived with its twin in the same box. The second was a set of USB powered laptop speakers from Office Depot. I received the first set on Monday, and then, lo and behold, a whole nother set arrived yesterday. I didn’t even realize that I had two pan sets until I tried to return them to LnT’s b&m in Destin (though my wife suspected that something was amiss because there was a 2 on the side of the shipping container (I never opened it until I was in-store because I had discovered shortly after I placed the order that this particular set of pans was prone to exploding!)). So, my mailbox is causing things to multiply. It sounds like one of those Russian fairy tales in which the protagonist gets an amazing magical device to make him rich and then an evil witch or an ugly, old king gets jealous and tries to steal the device, but the device warns the simple protagonist and together they kill the antagonist, which in this case would be my conscience, I guess, since I gave back all the extras. Or something.

or you could’ve given them to me… I hear that exploding pans do wonders with fruit crepes

Wait a second, we’re only giving the speakers back if they’ll pay for shipping! I’m not sure it’s worth it to them to ship $8 speakers back.
